About Us

The Kenosha Ultralight Club was established by two alumni of Eagles Nest Aviation Club Wisconsin. After building two VANS RV-12 airplanes and participating in the 2018 Oshkosh One Week Wonder build, they decided to provide a similar opportunity to those interested in aviation. The club has several Eagles Nest alumni ready to guide and mentor all aspiring builders.

Hasan Khalil– President and founder of the Kenosha Ultralight Club. Hasan was a member of Eagles’ Nest for 2 years. He built the fuel system, autopilot system, and cowling of the Falcon 2 RV-12, along with having the pleasure of attaching the empennage. Currently, Hasan is majoring in Electrical Engineering while spending his free time building custom electric guitars.

Anthony Medina– Vice president of the Kenosha Ultralight Club. Anthony was a member of Eagles’ Nest for four years. He was also president of Eagles’ Nest and has seen the completion of three RV-12 aircraft. Anthony acquired his private pilot license in July 2021 and has over 100 hours of flight time. Currently, Anthony is planning on joining the United States Air Force.

Declan Sanderson– Treasurer of the Kenosha Ultralight Club. Declan spent 4 years as a builder at Eagles Nest. He has accumulated several hours flying on the RV-12 and serves as an excellent mentor to newer members. Currently, Declan is studying architecture at UW Milwaukee and has landed an amazing 5-month internship with Disney World, Orlando.
